David is a sports photographer in Singapore with extensive experience covering a wide range of sports. He has led teams in documenting major sporting events such as Olympic Esports, SEA Games, the Singapore Marathon, Singapore Athletics, Singapore Badminton Open, Singapore Taekwondo Championships and many other sports events.

David Wirawan is an internationally award-winning sport photographer. His sports photograph titled “Rugby 7s” won 1st place in the Sports – Field Sports category at a prestigious international photography competition. The competition received 17,040 submissions from over 162 countries, and David was proudly announced as the winner.

As the official sport photographer for the Singapore Badminton Open since 2022, David and his team have been dedicated to capturing the golden moments of top international players such as Viktor Axelsen (Denmark), Shi Yuqi (China), An Se Young (South Korea), Chiharu Shida (Japan), as well as Singaporean stars Loh Kean Yew and Yeo Jia Min in action

As the Official Photographer for the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon from 2017 to 2022, David and the VIILevent Photography team played a key role in covering one of Singapore’s largest sports events, which attracted over 10,000 runners from 127 nationalities. In 2017, the team captured iconic Singapore landmarks, including Orchard Road, Kampung Glam, Chinatown, Marina Bay, and Marina Barrage, extending all the way to East Coast Park, providing a unique blend of the city’s vibrant scenery alongside the runners’ journey.

Additionally, David and the team were proud to serve as the Official Photographers for Pesta Sukan 2019 by Sport Singapore, where they managed multiple sports events across the country.

Recognised for excellence in sports photography, VIILevent Photography has been named the Finest Photographer in Singapore in this category. Our expertise has earned us official partnerships with some of Singapore’s top sporting organisations, including the Singapore Badminton Association, Singapore Squash, Singapore Marathon, and Netball Singapore, where we’ve captured both National and International events.
